NATIONAL AND STATE STANDARDS
The BVI School of Ayurveda is a professional School of Ayurveda licensed by the State of Michigan. BVI is also a professional membership of AAPNA, the Association of Ayurvedic Professions of North America. BVI Program Graduates are qualified to enroll in AAPNA as Ayurvedic Health Counselors/Lifestyle Consultants (AHCLC).BVI Ayurveda is also an Organizational member of National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA).
Ayurveda is not a licensed health-care profession in any of the fifty United States or in Canadian provinces. Consequently, there are currently no national, state or provincial standards for this curriculum. At the present time, a number of professional organizations, such as NAMA and AAPNA) have established standards of approval for Ayurvedic training programs and for certification of Ayurvedic practitioners and consultants. The Bodhananda Vedic Institute School of Ayurveda has either implemented or has as its goal to meet or exceed all such standards.
